"Getting Ready" vs "Writing" 12/14/2010
I've discovered that I can spend more time "getting ready" to write than to actually write. Why is it that the actual creative ideas which can be "strong" in my head can be weakened before the writing process begins? It is safe to just continue doing more "stuff" to "get ready." My head says GO; my fingers say NO..not yet! 2 Comments Post Title. 08/19/2009
During the show's development many drama lovers came back repeatedly to enjoy the show. If it weren't for you, Circuit Rider's Wife would still be in our hearts and not on the stage. You are cordially invited to share your comments. Jim & Doris Dennison Burns First Post! 08/19/2009
Our website is finally up and running today. It's been a journey adding playwright to my other titles of baby, daughter, sister, girl, friend, woman, mother, HoneyGran, teacher, speaker, and others not mentionable. I have to confess, I've never been labeled a knot on a log. That would be torture to be stuck in one place until the tree fell and the cycle of life began again. My father always said, Heaven will be a place of total unrestricted creativity. One of my favorite books is "The Creative Age" by Dr. Gene Cohen. I really want to write a play based on that book if anyone knows Dr. Cohen and can help me get permission. It is a collection of stories proving that you can do some of the most creative things of your life in your 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's -- if you are still of sound mind and breathing at that point. I also like the movie, "Second Hand Lions" which gave me the purpose to "go out with my boots on." That's my word for today. "Don't stop" until you are forced to stop.
