I was taken with the beautiful music and plot.  Everything blended well, and the production was a good representation
    of a country minister's life. In my earlier days, I had been a modern circuit rider's wife and saw many, many parallels
    and recognized many parishioners.

Mary Eden Thompson
Bright, fun-loving, garrulous city girl accustomed to a sheltered, refined life; full of high dreams for her future only to discover she is not prepared for the life-decision she made.
                

William Asbury Thompson
A country preacher who is aggressive in his religion, but seemingly distant in personal matters.  Always searching for greater spiritual depth but constantly struggling with his inner-man.

Sis, Meadows
 
Middle age, gruff, highly judgmental, contrary spirit; suspicious of others. Every preacher's nightmare. The community watchdog who harbors bitter secrets.        

Jimmy Meadows
 
Uncomplicated, easy going, sweet, non-judgmental … always striving to balance his feelings for his mother and his love for the community outcast, Paisley.


Paisley Conner  
Quiet, unassuming, beaten down spirit.  Because of a past mistake, she is forced into being a community outcast.

Glory White 
Cheerful, outgoing, tolerant;  sees the best in people.    


Sam White  
Conscientious trustee of the church; overly sensitive about right and wrong; always afraid he may say the wrong thing; constantly back-tracking,  Discovers he has more talents than being a farmer, when he discovers FaSoLa Singing..

Davy Dyer
Blacksmith, middle age, aloof, angry, insensitive. A community outcast, but still goes to church because he loves music and badgering the church folk.  Slightly inebriated most times.
